Teeth Whitening

The most notorious offenders are coffee, tea, red wine and smoking. Whitening can get your smile look its best. We offer several whitening options ranging from take home whitening to in office, fast and effective whitening.
There are many products that can be purchased over-the-counter which can provide some whitening, but they are inferior to the professional whitening offered in the dental office.
At Valley Dental Associates, there are two different types of bleaching offered, bleaching done at home and bleaching done in the office. The first type involves making custom trays which you will use with a bleaching solution at home. You wear the trays with fresh solution for approximately 30 to 60 minutes a day, for about 10-14 days until you have reached the desired result.
The second method of bleaching is performed in-office, or chair-side in approximately one hour. A higher concentration of the bleaching solution is placed on the teeth after a protective coating has been applied to the gums. The solution is refreshed about every 10 minutes to keep the active component bleaching. The in office technique utilizes state of the art technology involving the light activation of the bleaching solution to provide you with a spectacular result in a little over an hour. Studies have shown that with the use of a special light, the amount of whitening will last longer.
